Music as career

It's an observation, may be there are exceptions but music still hasn't got prominent place as source of earning. Career options list is always filled up with those academic kind of option,  which has good pay scale according to society, which can serve good lifestyle no matter if in urge to achieve that lifestyle u actually get so much involved in the league of earning that u can't even make out time to live your life.   Ultimately it would be a society of great brains which will leave voice of heart unheard.
Parents here play a key role, if they understand how arts can be an ace in shaping future and overall development  of kids. I guess it's an art  to understand importance of art hence many people have failed to make a note that now arts has turned to be vast field. Musician can earn as good as professional of any other field.
As mentioned earlier it's a vast field anyone can jump into this ocean and enjoy life to the fullest.
Let's have glance at the career options one gets in field of music
For an instance one can be Music Producer
A music producer is the one who writes, arranges, produces and records songs for different artists or for their projects.
An average earning of a producer in India is ranging from Rs. 10,000 to 25,000 approx. according to his talent and group of people he works with.
Another and the most popular option is SINGER. In India everybody wants to be a Singer or they want their Child to be one. The sole reason I think is, SINGER is the centre of attraction and seems like the Show Stopper so here lime light is playing major role.
This list of options is endless. I would like to focus on other options as well including Music Producer and Singer; in detail.
What type of preparation is needed to be a pro, How much patience is needed,
advancement on respective field,  and the most difficult but Important part :-
Learning (Which Never stops)

Stay tuned for more details , and all your queries and suggestions are welcomed.

Asheem Chakravarty: Man who made me Think!

Asheem Chakravarty! This Man shook me up completely. Was unaware of him as an individual. I knew him as a band member of Indian Ocean, knowing least about his contribution. thanks to Jaideep Varma for the film-Leaving Home..
The Life and music of Indian Ocean,
Asheem had a Unique Vocal texture. He had this unique style - playing Tabla and sing simultaneously, which actually inspired me to follow and enjoy Music more than just playing an instrument. Probably it was life learning lesson for me.
Notably, he was working for an advertisement agency as a copy writer.
He joined it at the Age of 40. Quoting his words -“I started as a copy writer at the age of 40, jahan par baaki log laakhon copiya Likh ke phenk chuke hote hai.”
But somehow he knew, that Music is what all he wanted to do. So after working for a while he quit his job and dedicated completely to Indian Ocean. He said- “Ab na... Main iss majhdhar mein apne aap ko phekunga aur kuch kar jaunga. Aise Araam Araam se nahi honewala.”
He plunged into Indian Ocean and gave some of the Best songs along with Guitarist Sushmit Sen.
His Contribution to the Band is Impeccable. He was a true artist, where he used to improvise vocal lines while on stage, sign of a True Artist, not following anything written or scripted but following his heart's voice and putting it into the performance.
He lived Music thoroughly. He gave some memorable song ideas and tunes to the meaningful poetry. My favourite of them all is-Bhor. As per Asheem he sang first few lines of the poetry,
which everybody liked and they worked together to complete the song.
Another one of my favourite is Desert Rain. Thumri Based in Raga Pilu - Nath Besar Balam Mangwa de... but with a touch of Indian Ocean and Asheems' vocal. He is fondly knows as
The Man with the Golden Voice.

The Actual Indian Ocean Sound is Missed by Fans these days.

Arc of inspiration 2...

Thanks for reading &  appreciating the last post, continuing the same would like to share what actually helped me to know myself even better.

I have witnessed  the era, when there was NO YOUTUBE NO FACEBOOK, NO TWITTER and For Music, you have to visit a Music Shop, checkout your kind of music cassette even without listening to it.So just Out of Curiosity, I bought a cassette-Dessert Rain by a Band Called Indian Ocean. The Sound was exactly what I ever thought of as a Fusion Band. As I was interested in Fusion Music, I knew only fusion Artists like Taufiq Qureshi, Ranjit Barot, Sridhar Parthasarthy, Niladri Kumar, Louis Banks to name a few but Not Bands as such. 1997 was the year when Indian Ocean album Released but it was Re-Released in 2002 that is Exactly after 2 years after Rhydhun and my Intro to Fusion Music.

I Really Don’t remember what made me buy this cassette but I bought it from my pocket money. I was amazed because it was a Live Recording of their Performance at Delhi concert named SAHMAT. After listening to this album I actually wanted to play these songs on stage but Never got a chance because none of the Musician I Knew was aware of this kind of Music. But this Album Made a huge impact on me as a Musician.

My taste for Music started Developing. I was eager to listen to more of Indie Music. I came across another Album. The Artist - Raghav Sachar and his First Album “Raghav, For the First Time”.
The sound of this Album was a Mix of Blues and Jazz with a Pinch of Bollywood. I was Awestruck with his Talent. He is a Multi-Instrumentalist. Still, it was on Cassette and I would listen to it almost Daily.

So after that all I bought was Kandisa And Jhini by Indian Ocean. I was feeding my Soul with this Music. There was no Exposure to Western Music like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles. All these names where new for me because when I was learning because people around me were not aware about these names &  Musicians I Knew came from Hindi Film Music Background.

In 2009, CD player was trend. My Dad gave me a VIDEO CD and on that CD COKE STUDIO was written with red marker . One of his Student gave him that CD to check the content as a Music Lover. It was Downloaded from YouTube. The first song I saw was Aaj Lattha Naio by Javed Bashir with the Unique BTS video about the making of the Song.

This Again Blew my Mind Completely. THIS IS IT. This is what my Kind of Music. I started Going to Cyber Cafes Spent Hell lot of money paying Rs.25 Per hour watching COKE STUDIO Songs over n over.
This gave me an Idea of What is meant by MUSIC PRODUCER.
Rohail Hyatt is the Man.
Coke Studio is his Brainchild. And now I have a New Inspiration. Till Date I am a Huge Fan and I Wish to Borrow his Brain for a week if Possible. Jokes Apart, This is what I think of Music. This is what  I am Influenced by These sort of Artists.
